Connection, Authenticity, and Empathy are my most important tools as a therapist
I'm an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and an LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor) trained in many different kinds of therapy, and I am certified in EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy), which means that I have completed lots of additional training and consultation for this modality after completing "basic training" in order to better and more competently serve you.
I provide attachment-based, caring therapy and would love to walk part of your path toward healing and self-discovery together with you.
I have years of experience working in hospitals, outpatient settings, and private practice with clients ages 13-100 who struggled with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, self-harm, grief, major life changes, and anything else you have read about on this page.
And I have seen people recover again and again with the help of counseling.

I use evidence-based, or "proven" counseling methods to help you better understand yourself, encourage you to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations, and improve your relationships with those around you.
Depending on YOUR needs, we will come up with the best counseling strategies suited to help YOU feel better.
I use an integrative, attachment-based counseling approach, which means that I use methods from different schools of thought highly individualized to YOU. Strategies I use come from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), MI (Motivational Interviewing), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), and Ego State Therapy.
In our sessions, we will work together to come up with ways to manage your current struggles, plan a fulfilling life in the future, and/or move past negative life experiences in your past. I will help you think and talk through your actions and reactions, and together we will discover the unique tools that will help UNIQUELY YOU cope with life’s obstacles.
